US lawmakers urge Rubio to question India over handling of CJP protests during his visit

Six US Democratic lawmakers urged Secretary of State Marco Rubio to raise alleged human rights violations during CJP protests in India during his visit. They cited alleged "repression, wrongful detention and excessive use of force by security forces" and reports that the Indian Embassy hired photographers to surveil protesters in US. They called for independent investigations into the allegations.
