PM Narendra Modi, in his Mann Ki Baat address, praised Maharashtra's Nanded-based Pethkar family for arranging accident insurance for around 3,500 villagers during a family wedding. Each villager was provided an insurance cover of ₹1 lakh, he said. PM Modi further added that the family took the initiative after seeing how accidents often push families into financial hardship.
