Bhopal ex-newspaper owner gets 10 life terms in POCSO case

A special POCSO court in Bhopal sentenced former newspaper owner, 78-year-old Pyare Miyan, to 10 life imprisonments and fined him ₹77.64 lakh for raping and sexually assaulting five minor girls. His accomplice Rabia Bi received 20 years. Miyan had lured victims with job offers since 2014 and the crime surfaced in July 2020.
