US Special counsel Jack Smith said his team had "stood up for the rule of law" as it investigated President-elect Donald Trump's efforts to overturn 2020 elections' results. Smith's team released a report finding Trump guilty of "unprecedented criminal effort" to hold on to power after 2020 elections and said he would've been convicted had he not been elected President.
