5.9-magnitude quake hits Japan, injures over 20 people

A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck Japan early on Sunday, leaving over 20 people injured. The earthquake struck southern Ibaraki Prefecture at a depth of 70 km. Most of those injured struck themselves against furniture or doors after being startled by the earthquake while sleeping. PM Sanae Takaichi said that government had set up a task force to assess possible damage.
