Ukraine's armed forces recaptured more than 600 sq km of territory so far in 2026, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi said. He added that in May, Ukraine recaptured 100 sq km more territory than it lost, claiming that the gains took place along the 1,200 km frontline. Syrskyi further said Pokrovsk city was the most intense fighting place.
