BMC proposes ₹18.25 cr for safety at 48 Mumbai black spots

BMC has proposed spending ₹18.25 crore on road safety measures at 48 accident-prone locations across Mumbai. M/s Pragati Enterprises, lowest among five bidders, quoted 36% below BMC's estimate. The 18-month project covers road dividers, thermoplastic markings, signboards and traffic islands. The proposal goes before the standing committee for approval on Wednesday.
