The US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is laying off around 6,000 employees amid the tax-filing season, reports said. The cuts are part of US President Donald Trump's effort to cut the number of federal employees. The layoffs at the IRS will majorly target those hired by the former Joe Biden administration to expand enforcement efforts on wealthy taxpayers, Reuters reported.
