KPMG's forensic review of the ₹646-crore IDFC First Bank fraud found involvement of certain bank staff and Haryana government officials. Report termed it an isolated incident and said the bank repaid misappropriated funds with interest. As a corrective measure, bank sent closing account balance statements to government account holders nationwide. It has implemented additional preventive controls.
