Nifty IT tanks 3.2% after Trump imposes 26% tariffs on India
The Nifty IT index tanked 3.2% on Thursday after US President Donald Trump imposed a 26% tariff on imports from India. Persistent Systems crashed the most among the index's constituents at 8.2%, followed by Coforge, HCLTech, LTIMindtree and TCS. Of all the sectoral indices on NSE, Nifty IT was performing the worst as of 11 am.
