Indonesia has planned to issue a regulation to set a minimum age for users of social media, a move aimed at protecting children in digital space, its Communications Minister Meutya Hafid has said. However, Hafid has not specified any proposed minimum age. The initiative follows Australia’s recent decision to ban children under 16 from accessing social media.
