Canada passes anti-hate law that may curb Khalistan protests outside temples

The Canadian Government has enacted new measures under the Combatting Hate Act (Bill C-9) to tackle hate crimes. The law makes it a crime to intimidate or obstruct individuals from accessing places where communities gather, including places of worship. The legislation is likely to help address the issue of pro-Khalistan groups protesting outside temples in recent years.
