Pneucons drops UPI payments ahead of MDR rollout

Ahmedabad-based industrial marketplace Pneucons will disable UPI payments from October 10, days before a 0.4% MDR kicks in on merchant transactions above ₹2,000. Co-founder Pritesh Lakhani said the charge could consume 94% of the company's margin on eligible UPI orders, as MDR is calculated on GST-inclusive customer payments.
