Mumbai-Pune Missing Link project is 99% complete after eight years of construction, with only bitumen surfacing on the road remaining. However, the Middle East war has made bitumen and waterproofing material hard to procure. Bitumen, made from crude oil, is in short supply since the war. A Moneycontrol report said bitumen prices have risen by over 50% in recent weeks.
