After Congress criticised the Forest (Conservation) Rules, 2022, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav said the rules are reformative with an objective to streamline the process of approvals under the Forest Rights Act. He also called Congress' allegations that the rules will disempower tribals "ill-informed" and said, "Government under Narendra Modi ji remains committed to protecting Adivasis' rights."
