The Centre's revised waste management rules kicked in on April 1, requiring all households and establishments to segregate garbage into four colour-coded bins. Green bins are for wet waste like vegetable peels, blue for dry waste like plastic and paper, red for sanitary waste like diapers and napkins and black is for hazardous waste including medicines and e-waste.
