West Bengal to get Anti-Terrorist Squad

The West Bengal Cabinet has approved the formation of a dedicated Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and an Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) to counter terrorist networks and the growing drug trade in the state. The government has sanctioned 461 regular and permanent posts for the ATS squad, besides five contractual positions for experts in digital data analysis, cyber surveillance and technical support.
