Incidents of fire and explosions were reported in several oil assets across the world in recent weeks. The first incident was reported on March 1 at Ecuador's largest oil refinery. In India, a fire broke out on April 20 at HPCL's refinery-cum-petrochemical complex in Rajasthan's Pachpadra, a day before PM Narendra Modi was to inaugurate it.
