The IRCTC issued an advisory to caterers to adopt alternative measures amid fears of LPG shortage. In a letter shared on Tuesday, IRCTC suggested that caterers switch to using microwaves and induction "to offset potential shortage in LPG supplies". The letter added that caterers "are required to maintain a sufficient inventory of Ready to Eat food items...to meet passenger demand".
