Congress, its ally National Conference and Mehbooba Mufti's PDP criticised J&K Lieutenant Governor's power to nominate five members to the Assembly, claiming that it'll be used to benefit BJP. The criticism came after J&K BJP unit said all members will come from its rank and announced five names. National Conference said if nomination happens, it would go to Supreme Court.
