Dubai's iconic 15-storey Toyota Building to be demolished, some flats housed 15 people

Dubai's Nasser Rashid Lootah Building, widely known as the Toyota Building, is set to be demolished in 2027 after more than five decades. The 15-storey building, which has stood near Sheikh Zayed Road since 1974, is currently being vacated after authorities raised concerns over overcrowding caused by illegally partitioned apartments. Several partitioned units housed up to 15 people, reports said.
