The City of Port Phillip in Melbourne has temporarily renamed St Kilda Beach after Australia goalkeeper Patrick Beach to celebrate Australia's qualification for the FIFA World Cup 2026 knockouts. The beach will be known as 'Patrick Beach' for the remainder of Australia's campaign. Beach is one of the seven players with Melbourne City connections representing Australia at the tournament.
