India targets doubling agri-food exports via EU FTA

India aims to double its $53 billion agri-food exports in five years, leveraging the India-EU Free Trade Agreement covering 2 billion consumers. The food processing sector, valued at $382 billion, is targeting 16 food categories. A pea protein Centre of Excellence is being set up at NIFTEM, Kundli, in collaboration with Canada.
