A consumer commission has ordered SpiceJet to refund the fare amount and pay ₹62,000 as compensation to an elderly couple, who were returning to Srinagar after completing the Hajj pilgrimage. One complainant alleged that other "blue-eyed people" were allowed to board by the airline in their place. The couple was reportedly forced to spend the night at the airport.
