An analysis by CFA Institute found that only 6% of sampled finfluencers are SEBI-registered, yet 33% provide explicit stock recommendations. The study included 48 finfluencers aged 25 to 56 years, with the majority being male. Around 37% of finfluencers also failed to adequately disclose conflicts of interest, such as sponsored content or affiliate marketing.
