Centre releases ₹1.09 lakh cr tax devolution to states in advance ahead of Diwali

The Centre has released an additional ₹1.09 lakh crore to states as tax devolution, over and above regular monthly transfers ahead of Diwali. Finance Ministry said the second additional instalment of FY27 will help states accelerate capital spending, fund infrastructure development and welfare needs ahead of the festive season. Uttar Pradesh received the largest share overall, at ₹19,208 crore.
