Indian Air Force (IAF) has sought at least 40% indigenous content for 96 Rafale F4 fighter jets proposed to be manufactured in India under a government-to-government deal with France. The localisation target will increase to 60% by the final batch, reports said. Of the proposed 114 aircraft, 18 will come in flyaway condition, and 96 will be made in India.
