IIT Roorkee has rejected claims of a mass JEE (Advanced) 2026 data leak, calling them misleading. The institute clarified that a temporary cloud storage misconfiguration occurred on June 2 during technical interventions to help students. Cybersecurity researcher Rylen Anil, who flagged the issue, confirmed that less than 0.05% of the data was accessed and no bulk leak took place.
