Foreign Institutional Investors turned net buyers in the Indian equity market on Monday, ending a 38-day selling streak by purchasing ₹9,948 crore equities. Experts believe this move is influenced by the MSCI rejig, expected to bring in $2.5 billion in inflows with the spotlight on HDFC Bank. BJP-led NDA's electoral win could help boost investor sentiment, Motilal Oswal earlier said.
