OpenAI has announced that GPT-4.5 will be retired from ChatGPT on June 27, following a 30-day sunset period, according to the company's updated release notes. The model, available only to paid users, is being phased out as OpenAI is shifting focus towards newer AI systems. However, GPT-4.5 will remain available through APIs, with the changes being applied to ChatGPT only.
