Opposition parties submitted a motion to impeach South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol after his declaration of martial law was blocked by lawmakers. The motion was signed by 190 opposition lawmakers and one independent lawmaker out of the total 300 lawmakers. The impeachment motion requires a two-thirds majority to pass the parliament.
