If the will or original deed of an inherited property is missing, the present generation should reconstruct chain of family succession, Sucharita Basu, Managing Partner at AQUILAW, said. Supporting documents may include copies of registered deeds, tax receipts, sanctioned building plans and electricity records. Death certificates, birth certificates and marriage records may also be required.
