Former International Air Transport Association (IATA) Director General William Walsh took charge as the CEO of IndiGo on Monday. As CEO, Walsh will lead the airline's overall management and strategic direction with a focus on accelerating its global growth trajectory, IndiGo said in a statement. Walsh previously served as the CEO of Aer Lingus, British Airways and International Airlines Group.
