Angel investment in Indian startups fell down by 25%: Study

Investment in Indian startups fell by 8.3% in 2025, while angel funding declined 25.3%, according to new research by Vestd India. The number of funding rounds dropped to 2,497 in the same year, and seed investment fell 31.8%. Despite the slowdown, India ranks third globally in emerging unicorns with 43 such businesses, behind only the US and China.
