India hold China to 2-2 draw in FIH Women's Hockey World Cup opener

India opened their FIH Women's Hockey World Cup 2026 campaign with a 2-2 draw against China at Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen on Sunday. Navneet Kaur and Deepika scored for India in the eighth and 25th minutes, respectively, while Zhang Ying (15th minute) and Ma Ning (39th minute) scored for China. India will next face South Africa on Tuesday.
