A legal notice has been served on the trustees of Sir Ratan Tata Trust challenging the legality of transfer of Tata Sons shares from a charitable trust to the late Naval Tata. Nearly 833 Tata Sons shares held by Navajbai Ratan Tata Trust were unlawfully transferred to Naval Tata in 1989, weeks after he resigned as a trustee, notice alleged.
