Over 200 taluks facing drought-like conditions: Karnataka CM

Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar said over 200 taluks are facing drought-like conditions, with 102 already officially declared drought-affected. He warned of potential drinking water and electricity shortages, noting demand crossed 19,000 MW last week. A special Assembly session is scheduled from September 21–23 to discuss farmer issues and the Kasturirangan report.
