Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted how the country is facing severe economic strain due to the war between US and Iran. Sharif revealed that Pakistan's weekly oil bill has surged to $800 million (₹7,585 crore), as against $300 million (₹2,844 crore) in pre-war months. Economists noted this could be a key motive behind Pakistan's mediation efforts in the war.
