Mysuru bans PoP Ganesha idols ahead of festival

Mysuru authorities have banned Plaster of Paris (PoP) Ganesha idols and chemical colours ahead of the upcoming Ganesh festival. The move aims to reduce environmental pollution in water bodies. Only eco-friendly idols made of clay are permitted for immersion this year.
