West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said that under the 'Yuva Sathi' scheme, unemployed job seekers who passed Class 10 in the state will receive a ₹1,500 monthly allowance from March 7. The scheme is for young men and women aged 21–40 years. Banerjee said the scheme is for people who are not beneficiaries of any other schemes except scholarships.
