Giraffes can do simple maths: Study

A study by the University of Barcelona has found that some giraffes can determine which of two options contains more food after mentally combining two quantities, a process similar to simple addition. The findings suggest giraffes may possess a cognitive foundation that could support more complex arithmetic skills. The study was done with four giraffes at the Barcelona Zoo.
