Billionaire Elon Musk said on Joe Rogan's podcast that US-funded NGOs may be "biggest scam ever", adding that America is "going bankrupt" while funding them. Musk said the "whole NGO thing is a nightmare". He accused the organisations of being "a way to do things that'd be illegal...if they were government, but somehow made legal if sent to so-called non-profit".
