Andhra Pradesh Cabinet approved new excise policy under which 180 ml liquor of any brand can be bought at ₹99 from October. The Cabinet decided to adopt private retail system for liquor sale. Out of 3,736 retail outlets, 10% will be allotted to toddy-tappers community. Minister K Parthasarathy said two-year licence for liquor shops would be given through lottery system.
