Defence PSU gives tender for anti-tank missile part to ex-chief's family firm, cites 'urgency'

Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Hyderabad-based defence PSU, issued a "single tender" for supply of optical sights for its missiles to Aindri Defence Advisory, a private firm, which quoted ₹56.8 crore. The company was founded by ex-BDL CMD Siddharth Mishra and his wife, Shambhavi, who now holds a 95% stake in the firm. BDL justified bypassing competition by citing "urgency".
