Tata-owned JLR confirms laying off 4,000 employees
Tata Group-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), Britain's biggest carmaker, confirmed plans to cut around 4,000 jobs globally. JLR CEO PB Balaji said, "The automotive industry faces significant challenges...amidst intense competition and ongoing geopolitical uncertainty." "As part of this transformation, we will reduce our global workforce by around 4,000 roles over the next two years," he said.
