OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap exits after 8 years as shake-up at AI lab continues

OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap announced Tuesday that he is leaving the startup after eight years to "start something new". Lightcap previously served as the startup's CFO. His departure comes amid a series of top-level exits at the AI lab, with product and business chief Fidji Simo and AI ethics lead Chloe Bakalar leaving last month.
