Subhash Chandra told LIC unit he had ₹59,000 cr in 2017, now says he has just ₹31 cr

CBI has filed a case against Subhash Chandra for allegedly inflating his net worth to get loans worth hundreds of crores from LIC Housing Finance. Chandra claimed in 2018 that he had wealth worth ₹59,113 crore, which he later contradicted, saying he actually had ₹40,000 crore. LICHFL claimed that he said his net worth in 2024 fell to ₹31.79 crore.
