US President Donald Trump said the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool "damaged by deranged vandals" has been emptied for repairs. "What kind of animals would do such a thing? We're looking for vandal proof material," Trump added. Trump had blamed vandals in June as algae and peeling paint had appeared in the pool just after completion of a $14.7 million renovation.
