Pirelli said on Friday that the multiple tyre failures during last month’s Qatar Grand Prix were due to the circuit’s kerbs, not a production defect. Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas, Mclaren’s Lando Norris, and the Williams duo of George Russell and Nicholas Latifi all suffered left-front tyre failures during the inaugural F1 race at the Losail circuit outside Doha two weeks ago.
