Max Verstappen's participation in Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) helped the race set viewership record. English stream of the race had 1.1 million views, while German stream got around 8.96 lakh views. English stream of NLS last year had got around 2,15,000 views. Verstappen's crew, who had finished first, was later disqualified for using seven sets of tyres instead of permitted six.
