Alibaba-owned e-commerce platform AliExpress has been fined €550 million (over ₹6,000 crore) by the EU for failing to curb sale of illegal, unsafe and counterfeit products on its platform. The fine is the largest ever imposed under EU's Digital Services Act (DSA). AliExpress has until October 20 to propose remedial measures or face additional penalties if found non-compliant in December.
